A distinctive Tuscan red from the cool, higher-elevation Pomino area, made with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. It shows red cherry, blackberry, dried herbs, savory earth, and a firm mineral edge, with a fresher, more mountain-grown feel than many richer Tuscan reds. Excellent with roast pork, lamb, sausages, mushroom pasta, aged cheeses, or a simple steak dinner. The producer/importer lists the blend as 60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Merlot.
